Beef Teriyaki Skewers

Updated: Jun 23, 2021

It’s a really easy one and is pretty versatile to use in bowl meals. Salads, on its own. Or with some fried rice, some kimchi and a side of veggies. I did these on an outdoor grill, but a grill pan on a stove top should do fine!!

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds of Skirt steak cut in strips with the grain. Or you can use a top sirloin cut cut into 1/2 inch strips.

  • Two tsp sesame oil

  • Salt and fresh cracked black pepper

  • 1/2cup soy sauce

  • 1/3 cup brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic

  • 2 tsp minced ginger

  • 1 tbsp corn starch

  • 1/2 cup cold water

  • 6-8 tbsp of teriyaki sauce

Method:

2 pounds of Skirt steak cut in strips with the grain. Or you can use a top sirloin cut cut into 1/2 inch strips. Marinate in:- Two tsp sesame oil Salt and fresh cracked black pepper 1/2cup soy sauce 1/3 cup brown sugar 2 tbsp honey 1 tbsp minced garlic 2 tsp minced ginger 1 tbsp corn starch 1/2 cup cold water 6-8 tbsp of teriyaki sauce

Marinate for 4-6 hours or overnight

Thread beef strips, weaving back and forth, onto six metal or soaked wooden skewers; discard marinade. Grill beef, uncovered, over medium heat until desired doneness, 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally. I like mine fairly done and carmelized on the outside.

Sprinkle sesame seeds and green onions

You can do the same with chicken tenderloins!

Enjoy!
