Afghani Fries

Updated: Jun 23, 2021

Today I made afghani fries, and they certainly hit the spot. The first time I had Afghani fries was in Jinnah super market and I haven’t forgotten the taste. This chutney is a skeleton. Add and subtract what you like and dislike. The fries masala is to die for as well - shared by a lovely follower ♥️ ⁣

Total Time:

  • Cook time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

Masala

  • 1/4 tsp garam masala

  • 1/4 tsp kala namak

  • 1 tsp red chili powder

  • 1tsp kashmiri laal mirch

  • 1 tsp amchur powder

  • 2 tbsp chaat masala

  • 2 tbsp cumin seeds (roasted and grind)

  • 2 tbsp corriander seeds (roasted and grind)

Afghani Chutney

  • 1 bunch cilantro

  • 2 green tomatoes

  • 2 or more green chilis

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • juice of 1/2 lemon

  • 1 tbsp vinegar

  • 1/2 tsp sugar

  • salt to taste

  • pinch of cumin powder

  • pinch of coriander powder

Method:

Prepare your French fries however you like. They need to be piping hot when you sprinkle over the masala. For the Chutney, place everything in a blender with a splash of water and blend until combined. Adjust seasoning and add more of whatever you'd like! It’s the 💣 dot com.⁣
